One evening in September we went together with our friends Joe and Bree on a little outing to Silver Lake. Silver Lake is located at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon at Brighton and at this time in the year there was a lot of autumn gold. This place certainly has some of the prettiest hiking trails in any season and GORGEOUS views. You can just walk around the lake and enjoy the scenery and look for moose, deer, otters, fish, ducks and lets face it... a lot of squirrels. Or you could hike further up the mountain to the twin lakes or lake solitude.
Look at these cuties with just their tails sticking out of the water.
Overlooking Silver Lake from the Twin Lakes trail. At this point is was already getting really dark and it was time to head back home.
