If you know me or have followed me for a bit, then you know something BIG was planned to happen in 2020 and it did.

After 5 years of dreaming, planning and saving, my husband and I were able to become proud owners of AURORA the Airstream ✨
↑ This picture shows our first night with the Airstream at a campground on the long drive home. We felt at home at once.
And now we are traveling and living in the Airstream full time.
In our time on the road I've noticed everyone uses the RV to follow their own path. How people "camp" depends entirely on someones preferences. Some people look for adventure, some for solitude, some for a way to party, pursue a hobby, experience local culture or to connect with family.
I enjoy a bit of each, but at heart I just love being out in nature: in a state or national park, watching a sunrise (my favorite), go hiking, explore museums, soaking in a hot spring etc.
My husband and I don't move around all the time. We travel seasonally for work. This means we'll have extended stays at a summer and at a winter location with several weeks of travel to relocate - typically 1 or 2 months. During this time we find new roads to travel and seek out new experiences. I'm happy with this because it allows for a slower pace of travel and more time to enjoy new places.
I enjoy being part of the Airstream club and community, visiting Airstream parks and I always have fun attending Airstream rallies.
I love a swanky RV resort with a steaming hot tub and gym just as much as a quiet state park in the middle of nowhere, the lakefront view of an Army Corps of Engineers campground or a national park so stunning I gladly go days without amenities.
Visits to national parks are absolutely a highlight in our travels with the Airstream. There is always so much to learn and see, they are special and... I think the best way to describe is is heart opening.
