My name is Nina and I'm the creator of this blog.  I would like to showcase my strive to live with intention.  I'm currently living with my husband in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Before moving to Utah, I spent 9 months in Washington State, and seven years in New Jersey, where I studied literature and dance while working as a nanny.  I was born in a small town in Germany and finished my education and studies before making the big move to the United States.  In my day to day life, I'm struggling with allergic asthma that's triggered by a very strong allergy to dogs and food allergies to animal protein.  I'm currently following a high raw vegan diet. 



I started this blog as a creative space with the goal of sharing more frequent and personal updates, but then I noticed that I really enjoy sharing my favourite vegan recipes.  Nothing too fancy, just simple and fresh plant based cooking.  I find it empowering that I can cook nourishing foods for myself that help support my body and make me feel great.

Other areas of interest are minimalism and casual hiking adventures.  On my blog you can find a few posts about capsule dressing, minimalism/reductionism and hiking.

I will contribute a new recipe once a month on Mondays and sometimes a personal article on Sundays.  Thank you for visiting my site!  I truly appreciate your interest!



Spencer.

We don't hear too much from Spencer on this blog.  Maybe, someday he will grace us with a few words.  He is my husband, best friend, the love of my life and part of everything I do.  Even if nobody else ever finds and reads my blog, he so kindly does and supports me in my frivolous online fancy.  


That being said, Spencer is going assist me with the blog's cooking series in which we share some of our favourite plant-based recipes.  These recipes are part of our everyday diet.  We think they are not intimidating to make and we hope you find them as appetizing as we do.  I am passionate about fresh and whole foods, but I have no formal culinary training.  My husband Spencer on the other hand is a chef and baker by profession (he currently works at Cafe Trio in Salt Lake City), however, in this cooking series he is going to be my sous chef.
